Exhibitors sign up for ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA

Berlin/Hong Kong, 15 February 2008 - ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA is attracting significant numbers of new exhibitors who are signing up to beat the application deadline to take part in Asia's newest trade fair for fresh fruits and vegetables. Friday 29 February is the deadline for applications for companies which want to exhibit at ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA later this year. Asia's only fresh produce trade fair takes place on 10-12 September 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Some 4,600m2 of exhibition space has been made available for this year's ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA. It represents a substantial increase on the trade fair's successful launch in Bangkok last September and is line with demand from companies and organisations which want to take part at Asia's premier fresh produce trade fair.

"This year ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA is going to be even bigger and even better," said Grald Lamusse, managing director of Global Produce Events GmbH, the joint venture company which organises the exhibition. "Bangkok provided a wonderful start and showed that Asia is demanding a top-class fresh produce exhibition. Two-thirds of visitors came from the Asia region and more than 80 per cent of them were in senior purchasing roles in their companies."

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA is expected to attract even more top-level trade visitors to Hong Kong in September this year. It takes place alongside ASIAFRUIT CONGRESS, the conference event of choice for fresh produce professionals in Asia.

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA is organised by Global Produce Events GmbH. The company is a joint venture between Messe Berlin and the London-based media company, Fruitnet Ltd.
