I've been bartending for twelve years. It's a job that looks glamorous from the outside, all dim lights and fancy cocktails and interesting conversations. And sometimes it is. But mostly, it's exhausting. The late hours, the drunk customers, the standing on your feet for ten hours straight. By the time I lock up at three a.m., I'm running on fumes. My feet ache, my back aches, and all I want is to collapse.

The worst part is the winding down. You'd think after all those hours, I'd fall asleep immediately. But my brain doesn't work that way. It's still buzz...>>
